Jean P. Tondora, 84 of Plains Township passed away Saturday morning, May 24, 2014, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Plains Township.

Born in the Hilldale section of Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late James & Mary (Holby) Maday.
Jean was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1948, and was employed as a seamstress in the local garment factories until her retirement. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Tondora on Dec. 7, 2003; and her sister, Florence Zuraf on Feb. 18, 2006.
Surviving are her son John "Jack" Tondora, Plains Township; nephew, Jim Zuraf, Laflin; niece, Kim Howe, Hilldale; and cousins, Joe and Jackie Falchek, Plains Township; and Tony and Pat DeCinti, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services for Jean will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St. Plains Township, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, PA 18705, with the Rev. John Boyle, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Plains Township. Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
