Ellen Marie (Chachi) Neiper, 80, of Moosic died Sunday morning, June 1, 2014, at the Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Nanticoke on April 7, 1934, daughter of the late Edward Charles and Kathleen Barrett Neiper, Ellen was a graduate of Moosic High School, Class of 1952.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at Capital Records, Topps Chewing Gum Co. and Schott Glass.
She enjoyed bowling and completing crossword puzzles, but her favorite pastime was spending time with "the kids" and extended family. Ellen will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.
Of Roman Catholic faith, she was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor.
She is survived by her brother, Edward Peter Neiper, Mine Hill, N.J.; "the kids," Suzanne Dushko, Duryea; Kimberly Reilly, Plains Township; Frank Dushko, Duryea; Lori Ann Dushko, Norwich, N.Y.; and Joseph Dushko, Sherburne, N.Y.; her niece, Christine Neiper. Mine Hills, N.J.; her nephews, Steven Neiper. Mine Hills, N.J.; and Michael Neiper, Hamburg, N.J.; a great-niece and great-nephew, and "the kid's kids and their kids."
Her family would like to thank the entire staff of Celtic Hospice for the care given to Ellen during her stay with them and also the staff at Highland Manor.
Private blessing services by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Divine Mercy Parish pastor, will be held in Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
