Linda Joyce Sarbaugh, 60, of Wilkes-Barre passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 5, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born July 11, 1953, she was a daughter to the late Douglas and Mary Ellen Roth Thomas of Wilkes-Barre.

Linda attended Wilkes-Barre schools and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1971. After graduation, she worked for House of Savoy, Prestige Shoes, and Jack Williams Tire, all of Wilkes-Barre. Linda then became employed by the Nesbitt Hospital as a dietary aide. She stayed at the hospital for a few years and then her job transferred to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, where she retired.

Linda enjoyed spending her time at Mohegan Sun with her family and friends. In her spare time, she was an avid crafter making a variety of crafts.

Linda was a past member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, until the church's closure.

Linda is survived by her sons, Richard and his companion, Joanne Olson, Wilkes-Barre; and Stephen and his wife, Melissa, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Mary Ellen Everett and her companion, Ralph; Aida Lecitshon and her husband, Bill; and Carol Fisher and her husband, Joseph, all of Wilkes-Barre; brother, Douglas and Mary Thomas Jr., Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren ,Richard III and Alexandra Sarbaugh, Wilkes-Barre; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Linda will have a funeral service at 7 p.m. Saturday in Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., 55 Stark St., Plains Township. The Rev. Hadley Hayes, pastor of Messiah Primitive Methodist Church, Bear Creek, will be conducting services. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time of service Saturday.
