Diana M. Kizis, 72, of Middlesex, N.J., passed away peacefully June 6, 2014, in the comfort of her home with her loving family after a courageous and valiant year-long battle against lung cancer.
The Guest Book is expired.
She was born Aug. 7, 1941 in Exeter, the daughter of the late John B. and Rose (Panunti) Tosi. She was a graduate of Exeter High School (1959) and Wilkes-Barre Business College.
Diana has lived in her current home in Middlesex since 1965, where she raised her family. Diana was a nurturer, who devoted her life to all her family, a consummate homemaker and mother to her four lovely daughters, and a role model to her six grandchildren who she cherished dearly. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. She was active in her daughter's schools and a Girl Scout leader early on, and later became co-owner of Evelyn's Crafts in Green Brook, N.J., in the 1970s and 80s.
Subsequently she worked in the customer service departments of Tumi and John Wiley & Sons. As dedicated as she was to her own family, over the years Diana touched many people by her caring and sharing, not only as a friend but also as a confidante, a communicator, someone whose common sense and sense of humor prevailed to the very end.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S., at home; daughters, Lynne M. Kizis, Esq., Manasquan, N.J.; Laura R. Kizis, Hillsborough, N.J.; Suzanne Kizis, Middlesex, N.J.; and Pamela Curran and her husband, Michael, Cherry Hill, N.J. She is also survived by her six awesome grandchildren, who not only made her very proud by gave her joy and pleasure everyday. Grandchildren include Joseph, Michael and Olivia DeLorenzo, Hillsborough, N.J.; and Andrew, Ryan and Brendan Curran, Cherry Hill, N.J.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John J. Tosi, in 2008.
