Jean K. Reilly, 93, of Kingston passed away peacefully Saturday, June 7, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Aug. 1, 1920, in Wilkes-Barre, to the late John W. and Edna Fregans Gingell, she was a graduate of Kingston High School. She married the love of her life, James L. Reilly Sr. and spent the next 39 years living in Swoyersville.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. A member of the former Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Swoyersville, she was currently a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.

In her earlier years, she was an active member of her parish and involved in numerous community organizations. Jean was one of the founding members of the Swoyersville PTA and a troop leader for Girl Scouts of America, among other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Reilly Sr.; son, James L. Reilly Jr.; grandson, Jeffrey G. Stevens; sisters, Marion Wolfe and Dorthea Bonnice; brothers, Russel, John and Robert Gingell.

Surviving are daughters, Alice Jean Reilly, Conklin, N.Y., Betsy Lamoreaux (Charles), Forty Fort; daughter-in-law Gloria Reilly, Swoyersville; grandchildren, Christine Reilly, James Reilly, Rebecca Barnes (Aaron), Edmund J. Stevens (Beth), Jeannie Dennis (Tim), Sarah Milligan (Adam), Lisa Carey (Jeff), Lore Lamoreaux, Katie Wenselaers (Yves), Charles J. Lamoreaux; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Charles M. Reilly and wife, Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral at 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Hughes Street, Swoyersville. Interment will be held in the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
