John A. Krasson, 75, of Plymouth went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, June 8, 2014, at the Commonwealth Hospice Inpatient Unit, St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born June 13, 1938, in Nanticoke, son of the late Stanley and Anna Telehonich Krasson. He graduated from Nanticoke High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960.
He retired in 1999 after working as a machinist at Ashley Machine and Tool in Wyoming for 40 years and Belrick Corp. in Swoyersville for 10 years.
He was a member of Cherry Street Bible Church, Plymouth.
He loved going to Knoebel's with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Leonard Krasson; sister, Dorothy Wengrzyn; and brothers, Albert and George Krasson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Selma Young; son, John Jr., Missouri; daughter, Judi Vnuk and husband, Frank; son, Joe Krasson and wife, Becky, Plymouth; grandchildren, Christa Prothro and husband, Landon, John Krasson III, Amanda Benbow and husband, Nate, Sara Vnuk, Janel Vnuk and fiancé, Tyler, Emilee Krasson and Stefany Krasson; one great-grandchild, Jonah Benbow; and sisters, Gertrude Dexter and Patricia Kiewlak.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth, with the Rev. James Sienkiewicz officiating.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday.
