God opened his arms on June 27, 2014 to welcome home Dorothy A. Frashefski Cupp, 89, from the Golden Living Center- East Mountain Manor, Plains Township. A selfless, compassionate and kind soul, Dorothy lived her life putting the most important things first; God and her family. Her ability to see good in all things was an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her.

Born in Shamokin, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Frashefski. She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School and was employed for Kurtz Detective Agency for many years and last for Comfort Keepers as a care taker until her retirement.

Dorothy was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Corner Stone Christian Fellowship Church, Mountain Top.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Cupp, in 2003; brothers, Clarence, Edward and infant brother, Thomas Frashefski.

Surviving are her grandchildren, William Cupp and wife, Lyndsay, Dallas; granddaughter, Crystal Cupp, Mountain Top; sister, Grace Kozich, Kingston; and brother, Richard Frashefski and wife, Sandra, Connecticut; several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Corner Stone Christian Fellowship Church, 3577 Church Road, Mountain Top. Interment will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.

Viewing for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township.

Family and friends attending the funeral Tuesday morning are asked to go directly to church.
