Howard S. Carpenter, 73, of Plymouth passed away peacefully Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

He was born in Larksville, a son of the late Charles and Loretta Shank Carpenter, graduated in 1959 from Edwardsville High School and was a resident of Plymouth for the past 25 years.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the Leslie Fay Co. for many years.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Larry, Henry and Edward, and sisters, Peggy Adomski Carpenter, Audrey, Katherine and Lois Drust.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret McManus; daughters, Kimberly Theobald and her husband, Ron, Nanticoke; and Michele Harper and her husband, Tyrone, Plymouth; grandchildren, Tyler Carpenter, Alice Harper, Jasmine Harper and Tylig Harper; great-granddaughter, Terah Carpenter; sisters, Loretta and Nancy; and brother Charles.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday from William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.
