Mary Chesluk Obituary

Mary E. Chesluk, 94, of Edwardsville died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Lehman, daughter of the late Stephen and Eva Yash Ladamus.

She was a graduate of Larksville High School, and was a longtime faithful employee of Old River Road Bakery.

Mary was a member of Jednota and the Slovak Catholic Sokols. Before its closing, she was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, and currently St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore P. Chesluk; sisters, Margaret Slosak, Emily Velky, Elizabeth Baird, and Anna Mikus; and brother, George Ladamus.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theodora Jean.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Thea Escarge (John), Hanover Township; granddaughters, Kimberly Keller and husband, Christopher; and Jennifer Escarge and fiancé Thomas Sanders; great-granddaughters, Julia Depro, Kaitlynn Keller, and Olivia Keller; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; cousin, Rita Welebob; and family friend, George Germak.

Funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church.

Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Lehman Township.

Friends may call Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
