Robert Houck, 87, of Wyoming passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at home.

He was born in Kingston, son of the late Nathan Houck and Adda Witchey Houck.
A graduate of Wyoming High School, Class of 1945, he later enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1948, and served in the Korean War as a staff sergeant.
Prior to his retirement, he was an assistant manager for Acme Markets for more than 36 years.
He was a former member of Masonic Lodge F&AM 468, the Caldwell Consistory, and Irem Temple. He was also very active in Wyoming Methodist Church, he served as a trustee, a member of the choir and Sunday school instructor, and president of the Men's Club.
In addition to being survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Nancy Nieman, he is also survived by two sons, Dale Houck, Lewes, Del.; and Lee Houck, Exeter; also four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Kenneth H. George officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Exeter Township, at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
