Millie Meehan, 95, of Nanticoke, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Guardian Elder Care Center, Nanticoke.

Born Nov. 25, 1918 in West Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Karpko and Anastasia Markofski. She was married to William P. Meehan, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sister, Anna Orlofski, 100 years old; daughters, Sharon Colatosti, and her husband, Robert, Nanticoke; Patricia Marsicano, and her husband, Lou, Pocono Pines; seven grandchildren, Nicole Colatosti-Mackiewicz, Stacey, Jason, Beau and Michael Colatosti, Alex and Jesse Mariano; two great-grandchildren, Colin Mackiewicz and Arya Colatosti.
Millie was a member of the former St. Francis Church, now St. Faustina Parish. She attended Harder High School, West Nanticoke. For the majority of her life, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Millie devoted her life to her family.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Millie served during World War II.
A private family funeral service was held from Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke.
