Edward (Skip) Pauska, 56, of West Enterprise Street, Glen Lyon, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born Aug. 22, 1957, the son of the late Edward and Adeline Gayewski Pauska. He was a life resident of Glen Lyon, where he was a member of Holy Spirit Church. He was a member of the graduating Class of 1975 of the Greater Nanticoke Area High School.
He was employed for more than 36 years as an engineer/firefighter by the Newport Township Fire Company. "Skip," as he was affectionately known to his friends, was president of the Newport Township Fire Engine Drivers and a member of the Glen Lyon/Alden Hose Company, where he also served as president. He also served as secretary for the Relief Association of the Newport Township Fire Company. He was currently serving as a Pennsylvania state constable.
Skip was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Robert Pauska, in 2013, and maternal grandparents, Edward and Josephine Gayewski.
Surviving are his brother, Donald Pauska, Glen Lyon; sister, Susan Katulka, Nanticoke; nieces, Sherri and Marisa; nephews, David, Robert, Brian and Michael; great-nephew, Mason; and two great-nieces, Kaylee and Kelsey. Several cousins also survive.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial viewing service from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon, with a Blessing service commencing at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Anthony Generose officiating.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon.
