Joan Kelly, 73, of Springbrook Avenue, Moosic, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Bridget McDermott Hagelgans. She was a graduate of Hazleton Area High School.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

She enjoyed crocheting and painting ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Kelly, who passed away Dec. 6, 1997; brothers, Leroy, Ronald and Joseph; and sisters, Mary Sanzi, Katherine Bartone, Patricia Hagelgans and Anna Diesenroth.

Surviving are her son, Samuel Reviello; daughter, Donna Walsh; grandchildren; brother, Arthur Hagelgans; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Northeast Radiation Oncology Center for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Joan.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Radiation Oncology Center, 1110 Meade St., Dunmore, PA 18512.
