Maryann Sochovka Chichilla, formerly of Old Forge, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility. Her beloved husband, Anthony, died July 23, 2003.

Born in Taylor, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Pearl H. Cegelka Sochovka and was a 1947 graduate of Taylor High School.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years at J.C. Penney's and also in the garment industry.
Maryann was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea, and a former parishioner of St. Michael's Church, Old Forge.
Surviving are a son, Anthony M. and wife, Marilyn, Harding; two grandchildren, Kristan Glenn and husband, Keith, Old Forge; and Jason Vinnegan and wife, Melanie, Bear Creek; five great-grandchildren, Martina, Jason Gerard, Nevaeh, Tabitha and Blue; a sister, Mildred Messarosh, Moscow; a nephew, David, and a niece, Jacqueline.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. Entombment will be held in Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday.
