Richard E. Lee, 54, of Luzerne died Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

He was born in Dunmore on March 23, 1960, to Frances Matyjevich Lee of Dunmore and the late Robert Lee.

He graduated from Dunmore High School and Johnson School of Technology in Scranton.

He worked for Allied Service in Scranton for the last 25 years as a bio med tech.

He was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving, besides his mother, are his loving companion of 14 years, Maria Markert; stepson, Sean Markert, Kingston; brothers, Gene Lee, Dunmore; and Jeff Lee and his wife, Phyllis, Scranton; niece, Autumn Lee; mother-in-law, Helen Markert, Forty Fort; brother-in-law, Raymond Markert and his wife, Kim, Carverton, and their children, Ciera Markert, Pittston, and Raymond Markert, Plains Township; brother-in-law, Michael Markert his and wife, Kristen, Jeffersonville, and their son, Michail Lorenjo Markert; one great-niece and one great-nephew, Izzy and Raymond IV.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.
