Joseph Anthony Pisano of Pittston Township passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was the husband of 48 years of Joan Pisano.

Born Feb. 4, 1943, in Exeter, he was a son of the late Joseph (Pecky) Pisano and Sadie DeDuonni Pisano.

Joseph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering and a master's degree in business administration, both from the University of Scranton.

He was employed by the Tobyhanna Army Depot as an electronics engineer for 30 years before his retirement.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his daughter, Darlene and her husband, Robert Sedlak, Pittston Township; son, Joseph and wife, Carla Pisano, Virginia; son, John Pisano, Pittston Township; brother, Tony Pisano, Florida; stepmother, Margaret Pisano; grandchildren, Christen and Robbie Sedlak and Paige and Ella Pisano; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's name to St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston, PA 18640.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Monday. Those who plan on attending should be at the funeral home no later than 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, at 9:30 a.m. Interment services will be held in St. Rocco's Cemetery Pittston Township.
