Marino Santarelli Jr., 89, of North Main Street, Plains Township, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at home.

Born in the Hilldale section of Plains Township, he was the son of the late Marino and Catherine Fischi Santarelli. He was educated in the Plains Township School District and was a veteran of World War II.
was formerly employed by Wyoming Valley Motors and previously by Wyoming Quality Beverage. Marino was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, Plains American Legion and the Henry Citizens Club in Plains Township.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Cipriani and Ruth Terragnoli; brothers, Joseph and Louis.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Cipriani Santarelli; daughter, Yvonne Kozemko and husband, Mark, Plains Township; son, Marino J. and Family; brother, Arthur, Wyoming; grandchildren, Jason Kozemko and wife, Patty, Ryan Kozemko and wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Ava Kozemko, Samantha Sepko and Stephanie Sepko.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. in First Presbyterian Church, Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Dr. Robert M. Zanicky, pastor, officiating. Entombment with military rites will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Luzerne County SPCA.
