Bernadine Gosser, 85, of Port Blanchard, Jenkins Township, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at the Partridge-Tippet Nursing Facility of the Wesley Village Campus, Jenkins Township.

Her loving husband is Albert J. Gosser. Together, Bernadine and Albert shared 53 years of marriage.
Born Aug. 3, 1929 in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Hudack Pavlica.
At an early age, Bernadine and her family moved to Jenkins Township, where she was a resident for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School, Class of 1947.
In earlier years, Bernadine worked at the Consolidated Cigar Factory in West Pittston. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and the Christian Mothers.
Bernadine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to her family. Family was a very important part of Bernadine's life and she cherished every moment she shared with them. She was also a dedicated daughter and caregiver to her parents.
Bernadine was an avid sports enthusiast. She especially enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the Yankees, basketball teams, the Chicago Bulls and the North Carolina Tar Heels, and her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, on television.
In addition to her parents, Bernadine was preceded in death by her brother, Michael J. Pavlica.
Surviving are her husband, Albert J. Gosser; son, David Gosser and his wife, Deanna, Jenkins Township; grandsons, Zachary and Jeremy Sr. and his wife, Jolene; great-grandson, Jeremy Jr.; sister-in-law, Linda Pavlica, Hunlock Creek; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Beverly Manganello, Dallas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Medical Oncology Associates in Kingston, especially Dr. David Greenwald and Katherine (Katie) Arensmeyer, CRNP, for their care and support. They would also like to thank the staff of Wesley Village and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their loving care and compassion shown to Bernadine and her family.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley Street, Exeter.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
