Her loving husband is Joseph J. Shampack. Together, Joe and Barbara celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on July 3.

Born July 12, 1942, in Exeter, Barbara was the daughter of the late Alphonso Pace Sr. and Anna Senetzsky Pace.

Raised in Wyoming, Barbara was a graduate of the former Wyoming High School, Class of 1962. Following high school, Barbara went on to attend Empire Beauty School, Wilkes-Barre, where she received her certification as a licensed cosmetology manager.

A woman of great faith, Barbara was a member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.

Barbara had a great love and devotion for her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she reveled in each of their accomplishments. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's baseball games, hockey matches and cheerleading competitions. Although her beautiful presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Alphonso and Anna Pace, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Pace; her sister, Catherine Pace; and her niece, Christine Pace.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, Barbara is survived by her daughters, Donna Shampack and her companion, Joseph Sholtis, Swoyersville; and Michele DeNardi and her husband, Elio, Harding; her five grandchildren, Juliana DeNardi, David Casterline Jr., Michael DeNardi, Antonio DeNardi and Tyler Casterline; her brother, Alphonso Pace Jr. and his wife, Lynn, Wyoming; her sister, Marion Delconte and her husband, James, Exeter; and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
