William Joseph Sickler, 83, of West Pittston passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at his home.
Born July 19, 1931, in Scranton, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Sweeney Sickler.
William was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Sickler, and sister, Dolores D'Annuzio.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Barbara Morrow; son, William Sickler Jr.; daughters, Sally Demellier and Barbara Peterson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, June Menichini, Margaret Krishak and Colleen Frederickson; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with Monsignor John J. Sempa officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517.
