Oliver Grosspietsch Obituary

Oliver Grosspietsch, 66, of Bethel Hill Road, Shickshinny, died Friday, March 31, 2017, in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born April 28, 1950, in Harveyville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Osborne Grosspietsch.

A graduate of Northwest High School, Class of 1969, he was employed by Slocomb Windows and Pools Inc., Wilkes-Barre.

Mr. Grosspietsch enjoyed gardening, yard work and working with his hands, and NASCAR.

Preceding him in death was his nephew, Richard Crane.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Grosspietsch and his wife, Jeanette, Wayne County; and Keith Grosspietsch, Honesdale; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary, wife of Eugene Crane, Stillwater; and Alice, wife of Richard Newell, Dallas.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 8 p.m. Friday at Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, with the Rev. David Hossage, pastor of Bloomingdale Bible Church, Shickshinny, officiating. Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mayo Funeral Home Inc., Shickshinny.

Ollie is missed. He was the hardest working person I have ever known; always willing to help. I am fortunate to have known such a kind soul. Rest in peace, Ollie.
