Stella "Honey" Kotula, 89, of Dupont, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, in Regional Hospital of Scranton.

She was born in Dupont, on Feb. 27, 1928, and was the daughter of the late George and Helen Kociolek Kotula.

Honey attended Dupont High School. She retired from the Sauqoit Silk Mill. Stella was a former past president of the Dupont VFW Post 4909 Ladies Auxiliary. As an active member of Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont, Stella served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of the Adoration Society of Holy Mother of Sorrows. Honey enjoyed her independence she enjoyed a very active lifestyle and enjoyed being with her family and many close friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Michael A. Kotula, Walter G. Kotula and Paul Kotula Sr.

Stella is survived by her nieces and nephews, Michael A Kotula Jr.; Deborah Kotula Kellar and her husband, Robert; Ann Kotula; Sharon Kotula; Valerie Alba and Paul Kotula Jr. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Dolores Kotula; numerous great-nieces and nephews; great-great- nieces and nephews; many cousins and life long friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. in Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, 212 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, with the Rev. Zbigniew Dawid, officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dupont PA Clock Fund, 600 Chestnut St., Dupont, PA 18641 or PTA of Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, 212 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, PA 18641.
