Alyce R. O'Boyle, 97, formerly of Roosevelt Street, Exeter, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at Timber Ridge Health Center, Plains Twp., where she had been a guest.

Born Sept. 24, 1920, in Kingston, Alyce was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Hossler Weaver. Moving to the Back Mountain, Alyce resided in the Fern Brook section of Dallas Borough and attended Lake Twp. schools.

She and her husband owned and operated the Shawnee Bar and Grill, located on the Old Lake Highway in the Shawnesee section of Harveys Lake.

Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bennett Street, Kingston.

Her husband, Bernard, died Nov. 9, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Robert, Donald and William Weaver, and sisters, Eleanor Weaver and Evelyn Lockman.

The funeral for Alyce will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with the Rev. Paul Metzloff, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
