John Lewis Klinefelter, 50, of Luzerne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, the son of late Florence Parnell and Corliss Klinefelter. He graduated from Sweet Valley Christian Academy and worked in the plumbing and heating Industry.

He served as a medic in active U.S. Army duty and was a member of the 300th Army Reserve. John was a certified EMT and scuba diver and recovery specialist.

He was preceded in death by sister, Ann Marie Parnel Chamberlain; brother, Anthony Parnell; and brother, William Klinefelter.

He leaves behind his loving caretaker and friend, Michelle Rogers; daughters, Lauren and Jessica; and sweet loving granddaughter, Amiyah; brothers, his loving twin brother, Joseph and Corey, Andrew Parnell, Ricky; and sister, Linda Parnell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
