Dorothy J. Morrissey (Martin), 85, of Ashley, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Nafus Martin. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School. She was employed as a waitress at many local restaurants.

She loved cooking and spending time with family, and she was loved by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Guy Martin.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Charles F. Morrissey Sr.; sons, Charles F. Morrissey Jr., Luzerne; James Morrissey, California; Michael Morrissey, Hanover Twp.; and Steven Morrissey, Parsons; grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Nicholas and C.J.; great-grandchildren, Olive Marie, Anna and Ella Grace.
