Stephen R. Widdick, 66, of Jenkins Twp., passed away in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre, Saturday evening, Feb. 9, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Taylor on May 20, 1952, he was the son of the late John and Norma Pascolini Widdick.

Stephen attended Pittston Area High School. In his earlier years, he had worked for Leslie Fay. Until his illness, Stephen worked for Coccia Ford.

He was a Penn State fan. His family was everything to him. Stephen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was actively involved with his grandchildren's school and sporting events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dennis and John Widdick; and nephew, Ryan Widdick.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Denise Walutes Widdick; daughter, Kelly Widdick and Michael Dempsey, Jenkins Twp.; grandchildren, Anthony, Ayden and Arielle; brother, Bruce Widdick, Pittston; sister, Suzanne Patrick and her husband, Gary, Exeter; sisters-in-law, Doreen Widdick, Hughestown; and Rose Ann Widdick, Exeter; brothers-in-law, Daniel Walutes, Pittston Twp.; Donald Walutes and his wife, Michele, Lake Wallenpaupack; and David Walutes, Pittston Twp.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. Religious services will be at 8 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
