Michael John Rosenko Sr., 65, of Carteret, N.J., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in his home.

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Moses Rosenko.

Michael lived in Carteret, N.J., for 45 years, where he was employed as a steelworker by Gerdau Ameristeel for 30 years before retiring in 2010.

He was a member of the Divine Mercy Parish at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Carteret, N.J.

Michael proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, the former Marie Sutton; his children, Michael Rosenko Jr., Carteret, N.J.; and Scott Rosenko and his fiancee, Nadine Nat, Wilkes-Barre; his siblings, Frances Rosenko, Richard Rosenko, David Rosenko, Marie Salivaggo and Barbara Cappozza; grandchildren, Breanna Marie Rosenko and Addison Rose Rosenko; mother-in-law, Angie Jones; brothers-in-law, David Sutton and Robert Sutton; cats, JC and Comet; and his dog, Boots.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
