Robert (Bear) Endress, 82, of South Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, in Hospice Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born Dec. 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Eugene and Thelma Hine Endress.

Bear was a 1950 graduate of Coughlin High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was employed by the Foster-Wheeler Corp., Mountain Top, as a welder until his retirement.

Bear was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Barlow Endress.

Surviving, in addition to his companion of 22 years, Marie Quadrini, with whom he resided in Wilkes-Barre, are sons, Gregory and his wife Lisa, Berwick; and Robert and his wife, Ellen, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Sandra Voyak and her husband, Frank, Mountain Top; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Audrey Biscontini, Wilkes-Barre; and his brother, Eugene Endress, Pottstown; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., Mountain Top and Wilkes-Barre.

Friends may pay their respects at Desiderio Funeral Home Inc., 679 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
