Julius Frank (Butch) Spinucci, 69, of Hanover Township passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Rose Germain Spinucci of Ashley and the late Julius Spinucci of Wilkes-Barre. He was educated in Ashley schools.
Having worked his whole life in the shoe industry, he was employed by various local factories along with ones in New York City, Missouri, Texas and New Hampshire. He started out as a foreman and progressed to a pattern maker. He also owned his own shoe business.
He was a member of the Superintendent's and Foreman's Association of the Shoe Industry. He served in office as the treasurer. He was a member of the Italian Club of Wilkes-Barre.
He was a selfless man with a great sense of humor, always looking for a good joke. He was a friend to everyone with conversation and sincere heartfelt compassion. He enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City and local casinos with his daughter, friends and family.
Butch is survived by his wife, Joyce Rizzitello Spinucci, at home; his daughter, Tracy Spinucci, Kingston; sister, Corine Hockenbury and husband, James, Kingston; and several nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Spinucci.
He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Friends and family may call from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
