Emily R. Baloga, 95, formerly of Dallas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Ideal Nursing Center, Endicott, N.Y.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre. Daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Hvozdoich, she attended Coughlin High School. She had worked in the garment industry in Dallas before her retirement. Emily was associated with the Blind Association in Wilkes-Barre for many years and also the Arts Club in Wilkes-Barre and Dallas. Emily was an avid crocheter and artist.

She was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, before moving to Endicott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph J. Baloga; brothers, Andrew, John, Joseph and Michael Hvozdoich; and sisters, Mary Homza, Helen Hvozdovich, Margaret Tirpak and Anna Emerick.

Surviving are daughters, Mary Ann and her husband, Nicholas Gulius, Florida; and Christine and her husband, Lawrence Blight, Vestal, N.Y.; grandsons, Nicholas Gulius (Lori), Andrew Blight (Lois) and Tony Gulius (Tara); great-grandchildren, Leah Lucarino, Lynese Gulius, Cecelia Gulius, Dominick Gulius, Emily Rose Blight, Kristen Marie Blight, Jacqueline Ruth Blight; great-great-grandchild, Kiera Lucarino and Special Niece Florence Sokol.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Richard Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. The Rev. Daniel Toomey, pastor of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
