Robert F. Wallace of Wyoming died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at home, under the excellent care of Southern Care Hospice and Dr. Charles Manganiello.

Bob was born, educated and resided in the Wyoming Valley and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime and served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, 109th Field Artillery, Kingston.

Before he retired, Bob was employed as a construction inspector by several eastern United States engineering companies.

In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing, lure making, woodworking, boat building and local history.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish, Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al J. and Martha Sadownick Wallace; and his stepmother, Carole Ott Wallace.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Ostrowski Wallace; son, Robert E. Wallace, Joliet, Mont.; sister, Jean Norton and her husband, William, Hudson, Fla.; brother, James Wallace; an uncle, Frank Wallace, Clearwater, Fla.; brother-in-law, Leon Ostrowski and his wife, Dolores, Mountain Top; sister-in-law, Catherine Ostrowski, Hanover Township; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Saturday from Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Holy Trinity Church, Hughes Street, Swoyersville, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday or from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
