Charles H. Engler, 70, of Blue Ridge Trail, Dorrance, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at home.

Born Dec. 28, 1942, in Nuangola, he was the son of the late Royce W. and Mildred Spaide Engler. He was a graduate of Newport Township High School.
Mr. Engler was employed for many years as a Pennsylvania state constable and by the security industry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Ann Vanderlick, on June 3, 2006; brothers, Royce and Walter; and nephew, David Engler.
Surviving are his sons, Charles Jr. and his wife, Audrey; Kevin and his wife, Kim; and Robert and his wife, Heather; daughter, Cynthia Drevenak and her husband, Joseph; grandsons, Brian Engler, Robert Engler, Dominick Engler and Joseph Drevenak Jr.; granddaughters, Kayla Drevenak and Kori Engler; great-grandson, Tristian Drevenak; brother, Clarence Engler; sisters, Lois Rinehimer, Beverly Schnebelin and Audrey Fraley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held Monday at a time that will be announced at Stairville Cemetery, Dorrance Township.
Charlie loved the outdoors and enjoyed clamming and crabbing at his campsite in Tuckahoe Acres, Del.
