Richard Stefanovich Obituary

Richard A. Stefanovich, 58, of Kingston passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at his home.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 31, 1955. He was the son of Helen Zalewski Stefanovich and the late George Stefanovich.

He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan and a Philadelphia Eagles football fan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Stefanovich.

Surviving are his mother, Helen Stefanovich; his wife of 13 years, the former Mary Lou Pieczynski Stefanovich; stepdaughter, Jaime Karpovich; brother, George Stefanovich; a niece, a nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with the Rev. Joseph Kakareka officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kingston Township.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rich's name to the Luzerne County SPCA.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
