Rachel Dukus Obituary

On Jan. 3, 2015, Rachel Gleco Dukus, 57, of Hunlock Creek was called home by her Lord and savior.

She was born in Nanticoke, on April 11, 1957. She was the loving daughter of Alexis Gleco and the late Robert Gleco, Hunlock Creek. Rachel graduated from John S. Fine Sr. High School, Class of 1975.

She was employed for several years by Erwin Staffing, Letica Bucket Co. and Techneglas, and was a member of Diamond Valley Church, Dallas. In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed doing arts and crafts and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her little sister, Nadine Ravert, Anthony, Florida.

Besides her loving mother, Alexis, she leaves behind her still friend and ex-husband, Walter Dukus, Kingston; brother, Robert Gleco Jr., Hunlock Creek; and children, Stefanie and Melanie and three great-nieces; sister, Mary Gleco-Krieger and husband, Jeff, Dunnellon, Fla.; and children, Mashell, Tiffany, Keith, Danielle, and George; and six great-nieces and nephews; sister, Beverly Gleco Vino and husband, Nicholas, Wilkes-Barre; and child, Nicholas Jr. and one great-niece; sister, Doreen Gleco and child, Donovan; brother, Michael Gleco, Harveys Lake; and children, Josh, Courtney, Mitchell and Jacob; sister, Dale Johnson and husband, Keith, Virginia; and children, Michael, Trista, Buck, Victoria and Haley; sister, Judith Ann Gleco, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and children, Rachel, Elizabeth and Abigail; brother, Nicholas Gleco, Red Rock and child, Christy; brother, Joseph Gleco at home; sister, Alexis Gleco, Nanticoke; and children, Alexis Jo, and Mercedes; sister, Melissa Sudnick and husband, Joseph, Kingston and child, Emma.

She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Our hope is the angels she adored are now watching over her.

Memorial services will be held at the Diamond Valley Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Rob, pastor, handling the arrangements.
