Alice D. Walsh, 84, of Sweet Valley, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born Dec. 12, 1932 in Lehman Twp., she was the daughter of the late C. Arthur and Irene Pollack Ehret.

Alice was a graduate of the former Lehman High School, Class of 1951. She and her husband Bob faithfully served the community on the Sweet Valley Ambulance for over 50 years. Alice was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Sheldon, Howard, Glenn, and Stewart Ehret; and sister, Alberta Foss.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; son, Robert L. Walsh and his wife, Patricia, New Market, Md.; sister, Pauline Calkins, Sweet Valley; grandchildren, Nicole and Robert Walsh.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the River of Life Fellowship, Lehman Twp., with the Rev. Kenneth Kreller, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
