Kadous, Harvey  
Harvey Kadous Harvey E. Kadous, 96, Topeka, passed away November 22, 2014 at Stormont-Vail HealthCare. Harvey was born December 11, 1917, to Klaus and Gertrude Busman Kadous in Pine City, Minnesota, the last of 15 children. He served in the Army during World War II. Harvey married Alice Price in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 18, 1947, celebrating 67 years in October. Harvey was an auto mechanic his entire life, retiring from Kobach Buick. Harvey is survived by wife Alice; children, Perry Kadous (Debbie) of Topeka, Wanda Lewis of Huntington Beach CA; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Colly Creek Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4230 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka KS 66610. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Colly Creek Congregation, 4230 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka KS 66610. Kottman, Morgan  
Morgan Kottman Morgan Michelle Kottman, 15, Topeka, passed away at home Friday, November 21, 2014, surrounded by her family and friends, following a 21-month battle with a DIPG brain tumor. Morgan was born April 22, 1999, in Topeka, the daughter of Jerry and Christine Hurla Kottman. Morgan was a sophomore at Seaman High School, where she played basketball and was team manager. Morgan loved singer Austin Mahone and her best day ever was meeting him. Her second best day was finding that he followed her on Twitter. Morgan was wise beyond her years. Following her diagnosis she lived her life according to the following quote: When something bad happens you have three choices: you can either let it define you, let it destroy you or you can let it strengthen you. Morgan was a member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. She was excited to go to heaven to meet Jesus. She told her family, You ll have the prettiest guardian angel ever watching over you! Morgan was a loving sister and aunt. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Morgan s survivors include her parents, Jerry and Christine; brother, Jacob Kottman; sister, Kelsey Kottman; nephew, Caden Morris; grandparents, Michael and Judy Hurla; great-uncle and aunt, Steve and Julie Kottman; aunts and uncles, Michelle Shea (Brian), Brian Hurla (Jennifer), Brad Hurla, Evelyn Blackwell (Tim); cousins, Alex, Amanda, Zach, Lucas and Ty Hurla, Samantha and Sara Shea, Stacy Dunn, Becky Consiglio and Corey Kottman; her BFF, Reagan Calhoon; beloved dog, Hope; and numerous extended family members and friends. Morgan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Larry Kottman and Kathleen Beuke. A parish rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church, 2014 NW 46th Street, Topeka KS 66618, where her family will greet friends following the rosary until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Morgan s favorite color was pink. In her honor, please wear pink.
