Davis, Imogene  
Imogene L. Davis Imogene L. Davis passed away April 21, 2016, after a short illness from cancer which shortened her life. She was born August 16, 1936 in Kirwin, KS, the daughter of Charles C. and Viola G. Williams. She was raised in Phillipsburg, KS and graduated from Phillipsburg High School and Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, KS. Following graduation from business school, she moved to Topeka and was hired as a secretary for Kansas Department of Transportation. She retired from this position after many years on a job she dearly loved. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Topeka. She married Lynn W. Davis of Topeka on March 23, 1958 and they enjoyed 58 years of married life. Following retirement, Imogene and her husband enjoyed extensive traveling and had visited many states, especially enjoying the national parks and attending Oldsmobile National Meets. In retirement she also enjoyed volunteering at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library. Survivors include her husband Lynn W. Davis, one sister Nora L. Teague of Troy, MO, four nieces whom she adored, Janice (Alfred) Smith, daughter Mendy and her family of Springfield, MO, Connie (Alan) Street of Columbia, MO, Brenda (Joe) Akers and daughters Taylor, Madison, and Sandra (Chris) Brune, and daughters Emily, Olivia, and Madelyn all of Eolia, MO. Preceding her in death were her parents, her in-laws Lynn & Sophia Davis, her brother George Williams and her brother in-law Joe Teague. Per her wishes, her body was cremated. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel on Friday, April 29, 2016. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the Topeka Shawnee County Library, 1515 SW 10th Street, Topeka, KS 66604. Dick, Dorothy  
Dorothy J. Dick Dorothy J. Dick, 84, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born November 1, 1931 to Willis H. and Bessie Viles. Dorothy was a homemaker who deeply loved her family. She also enjoyed bowling and entertaining friends but was especially fond of helping under privileged children. She married James A. Dick on May 29, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Patty Warner. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Dick (Velda) of Lawrence, daughter Darla Rankin of Topeka and sister Wilma Segura (Henry); 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren. Delna Belle Duddy Delna Belle Duddy, 92, Wakarusa, passed away April 24, 2016. Delna is survived by her children, Teresa Duddy, Scot Duddy; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis John Duddy. Services are private. Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Dunaway, Marvelle  
Marvelle M. Dunaway Marvelle M. Dunaway, 92, of Topeka, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born September 23, 1923, in Osawatomie, Kansas, the daughter of George Pat and Mildred (Kincheloe) Cockran. She was a 1941 graduate of Osawatomie High School. Marvelle married Vernon W. Dunaway Jr. in 1945 and they made their home in Osawatomie, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1993. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Joann Kirk of Tucson and her parents. Survivors include a son, Jeff (Janet) Dunaway of Topeka, daughter, Gayle Dunaway of Puerto Aventuras, Mexico; granddaughters, Jennifer (Todd) VandeVelde of Topeka and Marlena Adams of Mexico; great-grandchildren, Cole and Grace VandeVelde of Topeka. Marvelle loved a good game of bridge-she played whenever she could. Most of all, she loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marvelle was cremated. A gathering to remember Marvelle will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Friday, April 29th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka.
