Alexander Di Cicco

Alexander Al Di Cicco Alexander M. Al Di Cicco, 89, Topeka, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. Al was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Philadelphia, the son of John and Daria Di Cicco. He served our country in the US Army in WWII and the Korean Conflict. His service brought him to Kansas where he met his future bride. On March 8, 1947, Al and Mary Lou Fink were united in marriage. They enjoyed over 66 years together. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2013. Al earned his bachelor s degree in business from Washburn University in 1961. He was a lifetime member of Washburn Alumni Association, and a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Mater Dei Parish. Al was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad. Survivors include daughters Angela (Shawn) Easum of Topeka, Daria (Jeff) Dixon of Lawrence; grandchildren Amanda, Emily, and Jack. He was also preceded by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS, 66614. A graveside service, with military honors, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
