Charles Boyd

Charles F. Boyd, age 80, resident of Kennewick, WA, passed away on March 1, 2013 in his home. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 14, 1932 and is the son of the late Fred Boyd and the late Helen [Ward] Boyd. He was the brother of the late Barbara [Boyd] Bennett. Charlie graduated from Topeka High School. After one year of college at Kansas State, he entered the Navy. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy he settled in Seattle, WA, where his mother and sister had relocated, from Topeka. Charlie attended the University of Washington from 1957-1961 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He attended graduate school at Pacific Lutheran University. He spent a great deal of his career overseas, as a Contract Manager for the Northrup Corporation, with wife Eila Boyd. He lived in Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. He retired in Las Vegas, NV and resided there for 17 years before returning to Washington State. Charlie enjoyed golf, fishing, and the dice game, craps. He leaves behind his children Tracy Boyd (Brad Davis) of Bellevue, WA; Jon Boyd (Sarah D'Heilly) of St. Paul, MN; Michelle Tranbarger (Todd Tranbarger) of Kennewick, WA; Debra Goherty of Kennewick, WA; and Bill Mooney (Tina Mooney) of Arab, AL; and his grandchildren and a great grandchild; and his companion and best friend, Joyce Crace of Kennewick, WA.
