James Aldridge

James Henry Aldridge James Henry Aldridge, 88, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, Kansas. Jim was born on November 27, 1925 in Elmo, Missouri to Sam and Mildred (Neff) Aldridge. He joined the United States Navy during World War II. When he returned, he married Beatrice Wooten on May 3, 1947 in Troy, Kansas before moving to St. Joseph in 1955. He later retired from Mead Products. Jim was a member of South Park United Methodist Church and a former Boy Scout leader. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Cecil L. Blackburn, and infant son, Brian Keith Aldridge. Surviving family includes wife, Beatrice Aldridge, sons, Larry (Nancy) Aldridge and Bruce (Randy) Aldridge, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 19th at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph.
