Rodney Bond

Rodney Lee Bond Rodney L. Bond, 73, of Topeka, formerly of Woods County, OK, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born January 11, 1940 in Woods County, OK, the son of Robert Jackson Jack and Jessie (Herold) Bond. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later served in the Army National Guard and Army Reserve. Mr. Bond was employed with the Kansas Highway Patrol. In 1971, he began his career as an educator, retiring in 2001. Survivors include a son, Jerod Bond and wife Stacy, Topeka; a daughter, Heidi Bond, Smithville, MO; grandchildren, Regan and Carly Bond; sisters, Phyllis Berry, Peggy Neelly and Lela Madge Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lowell and Jimmy Bond.
