I did not know of Steve's death until today. I was a co-worker of his as a bus para for USD # 501. I want to extend my condolences to your family. Steve will be missed.

Did not know about the death of your father until late last night. We are so sorry. Did not know your father, but if you are anything like him, he must have been quite a guy! My prayers are with all of you in this time of loss. I will always remember the Etzel smile which was a constant with Steve. I bet he is entertaining Paul, Ma Donahue and many others on another stage as I write this. Thinking of all of you and your families.

Bill Kirk, Clara's son, called yesterday to say that Steve had died. I knew he was ill since he did not come to the Etzel family reunion in June. I wish to extend sympathy to you his family, wife, children and grandchildren. Tim and Carole, I know you will miss him. I send my prayers to all of you.

To Steve's family-
I first met Steve in 1953 while we were both serving in the USAF. Although I haven't seen Steve in years, we stayed in contact thru an occasional phone call and the annual Christmas card. Steve will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. I'm sorry for your loss and I have lost a friend.
