Betty Lou Henderson, 87, of Topeka passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Atria Hearthstone in Topeka. She was born October 10, 1925 in Topeka, the daughter of William Roy and Helen (Bryson) Fritts. Betty graduated from high school at Meriden, where she was valedictorian of her class. Betty worked for Henry Manufacturing and finished her working career at DuPont as a bookkeeper. In addition, she always kept detailed books for Raymond s various businesses, which included a tire store, candy-vending machine, cattle and newspaper distribution and insurance, while taking care of the home and family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and traveling with her sisters and their husbands. She was married to Raymond in March of 1944. He passed away December 9, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Rick Henderson (Gloria) and Randall Henderson, both of Topeka; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Warner of Eden Prairie, MN; and Jo Stithem of Hoyt, Kansas. She was preceded in death by a son Raymond Fritts Henderson; a sister, Thelma Fritts; brother Roy Bryson Bud Fritts; her father, mother and step-father. Funeral services will be held at the Davidson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 19th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Meriden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seaman Men s Basketball and Baseball Programs in care of Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66608. Betty L. Henderson
