Charles Vannostran Charles Willard Vannostran, 89, Topeka, passed away September 29, 2013 at Midland Hospice House. Charles was born April 27, 1924 to Charles and Lela Vannostran. He graduated from Wamego High School. Charles was in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. Charles married Beverly Shoemaker in Washington D.C. on February 3, 1945. Charles retired from the DuPont Cellophane Plant in Tecumseh KS after many years of service. Charles is survived by daughter Lana Rae (Rick) Caray of Ocala FL; son W. Michael (Karen) Vannostran of Berryton KS; son Charles Matthew Vannostran of Fernandina Beach FL; grandchildren Angela Fergen, Carey Vannostran, Kyle Caray, Casey Caray and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Lydia Vannostran on September 27, 1971. Visitation will be 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 3, 2013 at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Midland Hospice House or Red Carpet Services at Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library may be sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka, KS 66614.
