David Tubbs, 56, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in Fort Worth, TX. Services will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Granbury, TX on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Services will be held at Topeka Bible Church in Topeka, KS on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at McLouth Cemetery, McLouth, KS. David was born Sept. 24, 1956 in Gatesville, TX to C.H. Tubbs and Jacquelin Burgoyne Tubbs. He grew up in Topeka, where he graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1974. A licensed electrician, he was a member of the I.B.E.W. in Fort Worth. He married Paula Holland in July, 1979 and soon after adopted a son, William Del. They later divorced. Having worked for various Electrical Contractors in Kansas and Texas, he moved to Granbury eleven years ago. He enjoyed sports, reading and spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors: father, C.H. Tubbs of Granbury; sister, Deborah Tubbs of Topeka, his son, Del and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Granbury or The Shriners Hospitals. Arrangements are with Chapel Oaks Cremation & Funeral Services at 3rd and Topeka Blvd.
