Edgar Ransdell III, MD

Edgar Curtis Ransdell III, MD A longtime Topeka OBGyn physician went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 13, 2015. Dr. Ransdell was the son of Marjorie (Rivett) and Edgar C. Ransdell II, both deceased. Dr. Ransdell was a native Nebraskan who graduated, with honors, from Nebraska City High School in 1959. He attended the University of Nebraska and the University Of Nebraska College Of Medicine, from which he graduated in 1966. His internship was done at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita KS and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Of Nebraska Hospital. He and his wife Jane, moved to their beloved Topeka in 1970. He practiced in Topeka at Lincoln Center OB-Gyn, Inc. through 1998 when he retired. Surviving him is the love of his life, Jane and two sons and two daughters-in-law, Travis (Shannon), a school teacher in Scottsdale AZ and Dr. Clay (Tamara), an anesthesiologist in Des Moines IA. Grandchildren, Madison, Sidney, and Paige of Des Moines and Scott, William, and Edgar of Scottsdale AZ also survive. Dr. Ransdell was a member of Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene where services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the children s ministry fund at Wanamaker Woods Church.
