HIAWATHA - Frances Chandler, 94, of Sabetha, died Saturday morning, February 16, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Frances married Harold Lee Chandler, December 3, 1939, at Carrollton, Missouri. They made Sabetha and Hiawatha their home while raising their family. He died in February 1981. After his death, she moved to Sabetha to make her home to be near her daughter and her family. Survivors include her children: Valerie (Gary) Conrade of Olpe, KS, Marsha (Todd) McMann of Lincoln, NE; Teresa (Dwaine) Baumgartner of Sabetha, KS; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Frances's life is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, at the First Christian Church of Hiawatha. Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, at the Blakley Cemetery, Madison, KS. The family will meet with friends from 6:30 until 8 Monday evening at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.
