Myrtle May Pfeffer Myrtle May (Carter) Pfeffer, born on September 14, 1931 in Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away at age 86 on September 10, 2018 in Lecompton, Kansas.

She traveled to Columbia, MO in a covered wagon with her family, then moved to Jefferson City, MO at the age of 16.

She moved to Topeka and married Billy Ray Pfeffer (deceased) in 1955. She also was preceded in death by her sons, Earle Ray Pfeffer and Troy Lee Pfeffer.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Valerie Pfeffer; nephew John Carter; and grandchildren, Amanda Hunt and Heather French; and great-grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, Charlotte, and Tyrese.

She was a waitress at Don's Steakhouse in the 1970s. Myrtle enjoyed family time, playing bingo, and cards with friends.

She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 15th at 10:30 am at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 203 E 3rd St, Perry, Kansas, 66073. Private burial to follow service.
