Mary Louise Grundeman WICHITA--Mary Louise Grundeman died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born September 20, 1926 on a farm near Soldier, Kansas. She graduated from Soldier Rural High School in 1943 at the age of 16 and attended Washburn University. In 1947, she and Mervin Grundeman were united in marriage. To this union, one son, Dale was born. The family moved to Mulvane, KS in 1955. Mary was employed by Ernst & Young as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Mary enjoyed her many friends and traveling after retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mervin; brothers Floyd and Marvin; son Dale; brother-in-law Harlen. Survivors include her sister Norwa Iwig; sister-in-law, Bessie Swain; grandchildren, Ernie Grundeman, Lonnie Carpenter, Angela Brown, Aundrea Mastin; 10 great-grandchildren; and her loving caregiver, Justine Carpenter; numerous nieces and nephews. Mary had a kind and loving heart and was very much loved. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and shopping. Her giggle was one you would never forget when you met her.
