Edward Lambrecht Edward B. Lambrecht, 81, Topeka, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014. Ed was born June 28, 1932, the son of John and Rose Desch Lambrecht. He proudly served our country in the US Army in Korea from 1952-1954. On May 7, 1955, Ed and Mary Ann Kamer were united in marriage, enjoying over 58 years together. Ed worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 43 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Mater Dei Parish and the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2608. He was an avid fisherman and raised the level of prankster to an almost professional level. (Remember the Phantom?) Survivors include his beloved wife, Mary Ann, of the home; children, Janine Easterling (Mike), Carbondale, Karen Kirchgraber (Fred), Jefferson LA, Steve Lambrecht (Shari), Tecumseh, and Rene Smith (Jimmie), Topeka; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Marie Herman; and many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Elaine, his parents, four brothers and four sisters. A parish rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614, followed by visitation until 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mater Dei Holy Name Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
